Dora’s Space was created around a simple idea: business owners and managers should be spending their time on the work that genuinely needs them — not trying to do everything themselves.
Throughout my career, I have worked across business leadership, operations, human resources, administration, marketing, training, systems, business development and project delivery. Across very different businesses, I kept seeing the same problem.
Good businesses were being held back because the people running them were carrying too much.
They were managing customers, staff, payroll, invoices, administration, marketing, systems, projects, compliance and the endless list of jobs that simply had to get done. Important work was continually being pushed to tomorrow because there was never enough time today.
The obvious answer seemed to be hire someone. But in reality, another full-time employee isn’t always what a business can sustain, and we often end up with a ‘jack of all trades’ and an expert in one. Not to mention sometimes we need a one of task done by someone with the capability, because it would be an interruption to business getting done.
